Only just found out that John (Backpain) passed away last August in Norfolk from a sudden illness.
Very sad as he was a great bloke.
He had rebuilt and had just sold a fantastic coupe, so his legacy will continue.

Yes, it’s always a bit odd when you find out people who you might or might not have met, but who have similar interests, you’ve read their blogs etc but then you find out that’s it, no more. Kinda does your head in for a bit. :( RIP.

Exactly my reaction, shocked. It the ‘no more’ bit which sinks home - all that knowledge and experience lost. My recent contact was to recommend a surgeon for his long standing back problem - the issue that by then had led to his fate.

Sad news, went to his place to drop some wires for said coupe off en-route to Lowestoft, very pleasant chap and very grateful for the scimitarian delivery, shame to hear about it really

John gave me a rear bumper a few years back, a proper nice chap. A sad loss, RIP John.

Very sad, RIP John.
That's a nice car, any news since he sold it?
I have pics before and during resto but not finished (the news promoted me to look it up and make a connection with the 'before' pic, which was previously unidentified)
