SE5a quarterlight bracket

Post by MrGoldtop1960 » Tue Jun 18, 2019 12:42 pm

Hi All,
I'm in need of one half of the bracket for my passenger side quarterlight window. The piece I need is the "eye" half of the bracket assembly that fixes to the door frame. If anyone has a spare one in their spares box and would like to part with it, please get in touch?
(I want to get this fixed before I venture on the journey to take the doors apart in order to fit my new quarterlight seals that I've had in the drawer for the last 18 months :hand: ).
Thanks
Kev

Hi J,
No it's the other bit with the "eye" that fits over the tapered pin you show there.
I think my original post was misleading as the part required fits to the quarterlight frame instead of the door frame....

Still on the lookout for a bracket or the whole drivers side quarterlight. The one in photos above have tinted glass so not really suitable for mine! Thanks Justin for the offer!
Cheers

SE5a quarterlight bracket

Post by GeoffTE » Thu Jun 20, 2019 7:54 am

Hi Kev, I have one :hurrah: :hurrah:
It's the whole of the passenger side quarterlight but the fitting bolts along the bottom edge are missing. However the "eye" that you're looking for is there and is just riveted into the frame as I'm sure you know. You're welcome to it, but as it's obviously a very very rare part the cost is very high  As it's you I'll just charge you the £650 I think it's worth
Let me know when and where you want it

Hi Kev
can you confirm that it is the n/s (passenger side) that you need, I have frame with eye for that side, FOC to you if correct.

Hi,
Yep, it’s definitely the passenger side that’s required! Thank you I’ll take you up on your offer, much appreciated! My details are in Slice but PM me if you need any other details!
Thanks again!

By copy to Geoff, thanks for the offer but if I can get the whole thing then it’ll save faffing around with trying to remove the bracket from the frame! Looking forward to catching up at Silverstone :D

Cheers for now

OK Kev, no problem I suppose that it was the price that put you off   See you at Silverstone !

Hi Kev
I take it you only want the Quarter Light, if so I can remove it and post to you, it will take a couple of days, as being retired means little spare time available.

regards

Roger
