Today the ignition key broke leaving half in the lock. So far I've removed the wheel, multi-switch and instrument panel, I've unplugged all the cable bunches and undone the top clamp holding the column to the cross-tube so its dropped down a bit.
Can anyone advise on how to remove the lock / switch assembly from the column or undo the shear bolts ?
I presume there is no trick way of getting the broken bit of key out. (I do have a spare, usable key )
Help please

I think you may be able to remove the part with the key in by removing a small cross head screw..if so take it to a locksmith....i usually hacksaw a slot in the shear bolts and undo with a screwdriver
