Exhaust manifold fittings

Ok what’s your preference for manifold to head fittings . Getting the passenger side manifold off made me remember swear words I thought I had forgotten . So is it ...
Studs and nuts , socket bolts , or just bolts and is it worth going to stainless fittings as well?

I tried to use studs and nuts recently, when I had my engine out if my 5a. I could not get my tubular manifolds onto the engine due to clearance issues. So I went back to bolts to secure the manifolds to the engine.

I used hex-headed s/s bolts and s/s spring washers, previously mild steel washers but they corroded away allowing the manifolds to blow!

I think they're 5/16" unc x 1", I'll check tomorrow.

I'm not a potential customer  but from recent experience with a 2,8 ( which has less screws to fit  ) I would say definitely stainless cap bolts.

Make sure you're using A4 stainless as it's stronger. Boat people have them.
