No price yet , they won’t sell manifolds direct from Double SS any cheaper than Graham Walker will sell him as he paid for the prototyping .

Received a email from Double ss today , they have despatched manifolds to Graham Walkers so he now has them in stock . I have no idea of price . Despite asking numerous times for photos from Double ss dealing with them is like pulling teeth . So if you are in need of a pair he,s the man speak to . As regards quality or fitment I am sorry I know nothing .

Roy
If the SE6B and GTC PASSENGER side tubular`s are anything to go by I would be worried.
I have had fitting issues with Two sets and I know that G W deny outright any problem :w
I have spoken to SS about the problem and offered my tuppence worth and they told me that it was the LAST batch that was bent a few degrees out.
Probably due to the engine mounts being wrong on the SE6b/GTC they measured.

Yes there was and it didn’t make good reading . Trouble is at the moment this is the only source of these manifolds .

They’re the only current “off the shelf” source.

I’ve seen problems with the latest batch of Middlebridge manifolds from double S - I didn’t know there had been problems with the simpler 2.8 manifolds - which is really annoying as I need a set for the 6b and a set for the coupe!

Well not happy , contrary to what I had been led to believe the Coupe manifolds are not long 3 into 1 primaries but 3 short primaries . I think they took up the easy way out . They have been a nightmare company to deal with .

I can only say that the exhaust system on my GTC (now sold) was superb.
Long primaries, shiny silencers (after at least 8 years) and a lovely sound.

I don’t think GW funded these as a local owner needed some and contacted Double ss direct . Don’t think he knew about the offer . Somebody on Facebook . I think ?

Hi Guys, Just read the sorry saga on the Coupe V6 manifolds from Double S. Can anyone update us please as to availability of stainless manifolds from whoever. I too have seen the Maniflow ones they produce for the Gilburn Invader but they don't look right as the primaries are far too short.
I once used a company in Macclesfield who constructed a system for my TVR many years ago I think they were JB Exhausts and wonder if they or some other company might be willing to take on the project if they had enough firm orders.
Look forward to any updates.

Tim

Hi Tim I'm looking at this as well. The Double S don't fit the bill for me of long equal primaries, so was going to look around further again. I think there maybe at least 3 of us wanting these (Roy may still be interested?).
Dand spoke to Simpsons, who whilst would make something very gorgeous would come with a high price tag. Have seen their work on a few things and it is really good. I guess we could ask them what they might do for 3 sets . I've also got another lead to follow up with a company in Redhill that a mate is in contact with regarding a system for a MGBV8 custom system. They are sounding very reasonable and seem to be old school craftsmen. Mate is an aircraft technician originally, so has high standards.
Other long shot I have in mind is to borrow another friend's set and get them laser scanned at work to generate a CAD model and find someone with a CNC pipe bender to make them up.
I'll keep you posted if these develop. Redhill company is the first to explore when I've put gearbox back into car (next few weeks) as near to me.
