Wow, seeing the state of that chassis I'm not surprised it's only the body that's for sale.
But I'm sure I have seen an earlier black & white photo, I'll have a rummage.

DUM 974C chassis no? belonged in 1979 to R Le Dieu but was sold just after and in 1980 belonged to a Mr Holdsworth, it is untaxed since 1986.
ARF 109D chassis 0401 is the factory hybrid se4/5 recently restored by Graham Walker, in 1979 it belonged to Mike Thorneloe.
CUM 794C chassis 0019 was in 1979 already a convertible, belonging to Gabe Thomas of Swansea, this car unfortunately disappeared with DenPart.

Bodyshell on eBay here from FNX320C
I notice it's in Stone in Staffs now so it seems to have travelled quite a bit!

Wonder what happened to the ZF box mentioned in the other thread? :W

Chris,
John Stanbury owned the car from new and kept it for around 16 years. So he was already into 13 years of ownership before he joined the club. I think it passed through the hands of one or two others before I purchased it in October 1983 from Peter Rix at Lenham Sportscars. I can't remember the name of the chap who purchased the car from me, but it would have been late 1988 or early 1989. He'd seen me competing with it at Gurston Down (pic below) and having admired the car, was quick to respond when I advertised it for sale.

I have a lot more stuff to come when I get it sorted.
I promise that the 'register' is up to date but I haven't time to convert it into jpegs to post on here

And this very interesting item I will just copy direct from Slice, it is not signed but is probably by Robin Rew ...

That’s the first time I have seen reference to a No1 Coupe and the fact that it was painted white , so somebody must have seen it .
Also AUE 38B more confusion over its re-chassis .It had a used not new replacement chassis but it was a twin trailing arm replacement , it was not modified to that configuration . I was always told the chassis came from No 60 not No 6 .

It’s been mentioned many times that Roger Tipler wrote in Slice that #006 had previously had a twin trailing arm chassis from #059 (despite claims that #061 was the first twin trailing arm car).

I just wish I had a spare garage and enough cash to purchase it and get it rebuilt... loved the car when I owned it! Much of the improvements such as the uprated cam/gas flowed head (done by Robin Rew), respray (carried out in 1983) and the addition of chrome wires, were all carried out during my ownership, as were the concours successes! I'd love to know what the chassis is like now though, as there were certainly some areas that had been repaired both before I purchased it and during my ownership (the first owner lived on the coast and the salty sea air had taken it's toll in a couple of places). I'd love to see it go to a good home!
