Hi Mark. I'm near Banbury, Oxfordshire.

Do you have a picture of a GTE bush?

SS1 diff mount help

All the hard copy history went when I sold the car so all I have is a few digital photos. If you PM me your email address I'll send what I have.

It's a shame but I never started a project thread on that car on here so remember very little. It was an Ebay purchase and the NS rear trailing arm failed in a spectacular way one day. Other than that sorry.....

The rear diff rubber mounts were off a rover p6 from memory. If you have the old Bush get the number off it and Google it. They aren't easy to get hold of and were about £50 each. They occasionally pop up on eBay.

I've changed a number of Se6a column bushes and a couple of SS1 ones, and I'd say they look identical to my eyes. I've never needed to put a micrometer on them to compare though.

Nice welding - I have 2 chassis here that need sills if you find yourself at a loose end :D

Thanks :) The sill was a pain in the behind! I'm not sure I don't doing another for a while! Worst bit was cutting off the previously repaired A post. Must have cost a fortune in cutting discs!

yep - I've done a few!

The next one on the list is chassis number one - and it'll need doing without removing or cutting the tub or damaging the original show paint

while you've got it stripped down, I'd make the front lower crossmember removable - then if you ever need to drop the sump, you can do it without having to take the engine out. I've also made a hole in the tub on my sprint car, so I can get a socket on the diff mount front nut (noting that the front bolt isn't central as I'm sure you know now :D )
