Has anyone tried different indicators? I’m thinking of using the ones from a defender, the smoked lens ones.
Austin Montego, but only as the local scrap yard had a 'range' in stock

depends on your view of 'originality'

A quick question my SS1 doesn't have any or any holes for them should it have them :?: It's a 1985 car registered in 1986.
My later Saber had one's like Corky's much better IMHO :!:

I can’t remember the exact change point at whether it’s build date or registration date but it’s around 1986 so a car built in 1985 wouldn’t have them.

can confirm there were none originally on our 85 one, but it is sub 200 chassis number.

My parts manual doesn’t have a date on it. my hardcopy workshop manual has General Letter 14/85 dated 26 July 1985 at the front, detailing the issue of sections F, G, K, P1, P2, T and T1 with a binder. General Letter 20/85 dated 8 November details issue of sections C, E, J, N, P0 and T2 but no sign of the rest of it (hence no chassis (A) or front suspension (B), clutch (H) etc in the manuals) :D

Obviously confident that those areas wouldn't need any attention 😂😂

On the subject, what's the best method for accessing passenger side bulb holder?
Looks like it's just stuck to wing, but with wiring going into the heater motor duct. Not sure how to feed wires back through grommet to engine bay.

Yes, it goes through the heater cold air inlet duct. Ideally pull a piece of string through when you remove it, otherwise feed a bit of locking wire/coat hanger through.
