As Steve says Phil,i don't think it would be an issue on 5's,5a's and 6a's.They predate all the Euro nonsense.Maybe the later 6b and and GTC's might fall under it?.I would think the new lights would be marked as a matter of course these days..

The lights do have some official conformity markings, but I couldn't see what they were, and it was raining.......

Cheers

Thats an amazingly good fit and IMHO look pretty good. I'd be straight onto ebay if I still had a GTE!

I had a full demonstration and they are pretty bright too. Better than the standard unit.

Looks a bit like the mounting screws go through the screw holes for the vent cover.

I like them, I shall have to have a think.

Bob if you have a look at this pic and the technical drawing in the first post, you'll see the bit that needs cutting out (the pieces of body in between the round holes) in order to get the oblong back to fit in the bodywork. I think you'd just need to fabricate a U plate to hold the unit in place (similar to the way the door handles are held in place). Alternatively use the screw holes at each corner to secure the unit to the body.

Cheers

Steve

If your tastes are a bit more max power than max value, you could have these :-

or these

That looks better than original, your new ones IMO. 8)

There has to be one person who has to ask, so ........ where did you see the more stylised ones? How much were they?

I couldn't resist photoshoping those oval lights onto the scim.

They look good.

Somebody's got too much time on their hands.....your photoshop skills are much better than mine.

Actually the bubble lights look better than I thought they would, though I'd rather stick with the more original looking ones.

Hi All,
I just measured my SE6 rear lights and space available for these. I do really like them they suit the car perfectly, but I dont think they will fit  .
I think they are 5mm on the too big side, length wise that is. my lights are 300mm, these are 310m, the space available will take 305mm but 310mm is pushing it a bit.

Terry the extra few mm could easily be shaved off if it's a problem, which I don't think it will be as there is a slight gap either side of the existing unit.

See the top close up photo.
