 21 watt as supplied

I'll stick some 10's in.

Which should be a piece of cake now that I can simply unscrew the lens to get at them

Thanks for that !

Glad you pointed this out as I am just about to wire up mine too - and would have done the same

I'm guessing that one of the red lamps could be a fog lamp (dictated by the lens as much as anything)?

I do recall some cars (Vauxhall, mainly) using one red lamp for stop light, then the other for tail (5W) and fog (21W).

Just a quick silly question...where's the rear reflector now???

Could always wire up as some modern cars are with a 5/21 watt in with the 21 watt becoming the fog and then wire the original rear fogs as brake lights, I've got a set of these to fit but TBH haven't even opened the box yet so don't know whether the red (lamp) (lights)(bulbs) have 2 terminals to operate the 2 filaments

Oh your fog light needs to be a min of 100mm from your brake light so using one of each nice idea as it is won't sadly work,
the rear reflector forms part of the cluster with the tail light behind.

Steve, I seem to remember Dave Speedy having a similar problem when he fitted to his 6a, remember we commented at the boggin that night.

The reflector is next to the indicator lamp, but it has the stop lamp behind it.

I just thought I'd share this with you. I was at High Peak classics the other day and was having a look at Dave Mac's 6B. He has replaced the rear light clusters with some he found on eBay. To be honest I didn't notice that they were different to standard until he pointed it out. The indicator lamp is now at the outer edge, which is probably the main aesthetic difference when viewed from a distance.

They are pretty much the same dimensions as the originals and are nice fit.

The big benefit is that they are sealed unit and the bulbs are accessed from the outside (so no fiddling around in the back panel). It should also prevent the terrible earthing problems you get in older units.

I've just ordered a set as emergency spares. At just £34 for the pair including postage, they look like a bargain.

See eBay item 170325033596

If anyone buys and fits them, please let me know how you get on.

Bought and fitted. Very pleased with the results. You can actually see my brake lights now! Will take pics and post them.
