Seat weight depends on the size of the bum in it :P :P :P

Feeling guilty of above facetious answer, nipped up to loft with bathroom scales: seat with runners 14.8 kg
Update, this is standard striped seat, feels more solid that alcvantara Ti seat.

Alcantara T1 seat without runners just 10.1 kg. That explains why Ti is so much faster!

There’s at least 3 different types of seat (look at the recline mechanisms) and 4 coverings off the top of my head. I remembered I needed to update this thread last weekend when I got door cards out for C686 - massive difference between the 3 types of foam covered cards!

Door cards:

Type 2 - 1.5
Type 3 - 1.6
A throw back to 2013 for you Jim.

Actually since then I would point out there is more than one foam used for the core of type 2 door cards.

What weights did you get then?

Trevor, regarding seats. I think the key in the weight differences you listed for the seats you weighed is the lack of runners. They are greeet big lumps of steel. Was actually thinking just the other day of losing them and hard mounting at least the passenger seat.

Lastly for reference my SS1 1300 is another car tipping the scales at 920kg
That's with -
Hardtop and sunroof
Leather Sabre seats
Factory roll bar
6x9s and amplifier
Type 9 gearbox
Half tank fuel

Without jacking gear and spare iirc (as raced)

Will weigh runners separately when I swap seats over...

One other thing which will presumably affect the relative weights of the door cards is whether they've got the fabric trimmed centre panels attached?

To clarify, those weights are door cards only with no trimmed inserts which I would expect all weigh about the same.

Fair enough. As a matter of interest, was there any particular pattern to to installation of trimmed inserts, or was it just a matter of customer choice or what the factory had at the time?

It started off as no inserts for 1300, inserts for 1600 IIRC? When the Ti came out, then they had inserts to match the seat material (Alcantara or leather).

I'm sure R-R can confirm or shoot me down..
