SE6A clutch pushrod - how does it go together???

Post by Diyhell » Tue Oct 13, 2020 9:52 am

Just putting my clutch back together, on the long crawl to engine going back in.

But I can't work out where everything goes - I seem to have more parts than are in the parts diagram?

Specifically the red ringed parts that don't appear in the parts diagram?

And I have a domed aluminium 'washer' on the end of my pushrod.

It's been some time since I took this apart and I'm now wishing I'd taken a picture!

Might be wrong but have you got some gear linkage parts mixed up with your slave cylinder bits . The clip on the left looks very much like one used to connect the gear rods to the selector leavers ,via a bush , which has two metal washers either side , like the two in your picture ? Regards Richard .

rjudcsx, peter freeman, thanks! I totally see what you mean now.

The annoying thing about it is that I failed to bag everything as I'd intended - which 18 months later results in confusion...
