Se6 rear axle alloy diff cover

Post by Jase675 » Thu Oct 01, 2020 10:30 pm

My Se6 has an alloy diff cover. Anyone know if this is standard for the Se6? Does the later diff cover fit OK? Thanks

Se6 rear axle alloy diff cover

I think most are alloy - the only difference (I understand) between the SE5/a (excluding the very early ones with the 7HA axle) and the SE6 series was the moving of the filler plug (from pointing backwards and obstructed by the watts linkage, so pointing sideways).

I think I've seen some steel/iron ones - no idea why the difference though. Unless anyone knows any different, the watts linkage is the same across all the 4HA axles. The trailing arms changed for the last cars - possibly 6b?

Never try and argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you based on experience.
