SE6a steering play in upper column bush

Post by martin F » Mon Sep 28, 2020 3:11 pm

Afternoon, I've only just paid membership so can't access the wiki yet, so figured i'd ask.
Parts diagrams show the se6a upper steering column bush as part No. SKU: 211706, but another website gives an equivalent number as 26575,
This 2nd number is the same code as a Reliant Robin steering bush. Is that correct are they actually the same?

Thanks
Martin

Bush 211706 is used with column outer 211698, bush 26575vis used with column outer 213403. I have no idea what the difference in columns are and the parts manual doesn’t show any chassis number applicability.

Just order from QRG or Graham Walker and state the car model (SE6a) when ordering.

26575 from Reliant partsworld comes with Two plastic press in bushes for top and bottom.
I have always used these, but usually only needed for the top.
They can be pressed in and push the old worn bush down a little so no need to remove it.

Good tip Mark. I always use two at the bottom, first pushed further up, then they seem to last longer.
