chassis number query

Hi,
My se6a chassis number ends with an M what does this signify?
I have looked everywhere to no avail

I can't find it listed - perhaps someone put it there to signify "Manual" unless its a auto in which case I am wrong in my guess

There are quite a few with an M suffix - I added a column to the register when I managed it but we never found out what it signified.
