Refitting doors and windows

Post by Thorpe » Fri Jul 03, 2020 3:22 pm

Any guideance or tips would be helpful. I have removed the old metal and will soon be fixing in the new inserts. I have test fitted the doors and at this stage both sides are looking fine apart from the drivers door which kicks out at the bottom for the last 8 inches, is there an easy fix for this as i dont like the idea of cutting the door to pull it in a couple of mill and i dont think its to do with the hinges as two thirds of the door lines up nicely. Also what is the best sequance to refit the windows and do i need to remove the glass from the bottom window channel regulator or is it possiple to refit the glass and window closing unit as one?

Thanks

Eddie

AlMost all 6/8 series have that to a lesser or greater degree - door shimming will only get it so close and if you aren’t happy with that you need to cut it I’m afraid.

Could just be the (correct) seals are too thick ...
