Acellerator pedal removal ( in car )

Post by kapri » Thu Jun 25, 2020 9:03 pm

I'm about to take the accelerator pedal out of mine while still in the car . I've looked at the pasrt manual but can't see anything retaining the cross car through the pedal box bearings ? How do you disconnect , just pull it or ...?

If you email me I can take pictures of the pedal box out of the car.
To be honest I believe in the long run it will be quicker if you remove yours to achieve what you are trying to do

I think there is a plastic clip holding it in (to the left of the right hand upright)
The manual illustration is not very clear.

Part 23 or perhaps 24.
If you turn it through 45 degrees I think it will pull through the hole.
The SS1 pedal box does this anyway.

Much simpler than the SS1 as there’s no outer plate to fight with. Just twist the plastic bushes through 45 degrees and the pedal will pull out.
