Tracing my old car: EWO 968K (SE5)

Post by spud1973 » Wed Aug 19, 2020 11:44 am

Hi,
I wonder if anyone out there can assist - I did email this to David who is listed as being the SE5/5A registrar, but haven't had a reply as yet.....

I owned a Scimitar in the early 90's, it was a red SE5 (I think it had some parts from both) registration number EWO 968K. It was originally cherry red and I had it resprayed flame red and sold it when I started a family. I live in the Portsmouth area and it was last seen locally in the earlier 2000's, unfortunately the moment I heard this and instructed others if they saw it again to put a note on the windscreen it was never seen again. A quick check of the govt. website shows it was declared SORN as late as November 2018.

There used to be a regular meet of the local Scimitar owners club at "The Coach & Horses" in Cosham Portsmouth which I used to attend.

Does anyone know the whereabouts or if it is owned by one of your members?

Many thanks

Updated: from the photos of the dashboard I think it was definitely an SE5 not SE5A
