Hello everyone!
As my name appeared in lights on pages 29 and 30 of Slice 294, I thought I should introduce myself.
My name is David Moore, and my car and I live in Dronfield, Derbyshire, on the edge of the Peak District, and around 35 minutes from the High Peak Noggin.
My Scimitar owning journey began in the early 1980s with a blue SE5A (KFE760N - is it still alive?).
After three years, the lure of a company car caused me to wave goodbye to the SE5A, but in 1994 I was able to buy my current GTC.
I ran it for a few years until it suffered a significant engine failure, caused by overheating, caused by a gunged up radiator.
The car then sat in my garage for 15 years or so, until I had the money and inclination to get it fixed.
It is now back on the road, with its final MOT passed last month, and a list of replacements and improvement as described by Guy in Slice 294.
I am driving it quite a lot, because I now live in the land of the retired, so no more company cars for me!
I am looking forward to continuing the restoration and improvement process, spurred on by the help and advice found in this forum.

David

Bonjour from sunny south of France. I owned my first GTC from 1982 to 1986 and covered 98,000 miles (yes, you read that right) in 4 years! Superb car. Current GTC owned for 20 years and converted to LHD as I aim to survive French roads!

David, your welcome :D
I do need to add some lines about other GTC's in my article, as I'm pretty sure most readers will be quite bored of reading about my own GTC every Slice
