Owd Git Arrives !

Thanks for having me.
I am considering a GTE/GTC having recently sold my Westfield.
My first question is I am 6'2" and 15 stone on a bad day , will I find a Scimitar comfortable for my size ?
With current times being difficult I realise it may be some time before I can try a car however will be keeping my eye open for a well sorted car.
I live in the North West near to Wigan and I am approaching retirement age shortly.
I have a couple of classic motorcycles and look forward to learning a little more about Scimitars.

Welcome to the madhouse.
An SE6/GTC should suit you, plenty of room as long as you stick your right elbow out of the window
And a lot more comfortable than a Westfield.

Thanks , Westfield was fun but became increasingly more difficult to get in and out of.

Welcome :D

I’m 6’2” and 15 stone (pre-covid :) ) and have SE5/5a and SS1s. Best bet is to try one as the 5 and 6 are different cars. Small sports will need the floor lowering or seat mods for maximum comfort.

I recently bought a 5a and at 6'2" and 18 stone find its fine for me can feel a little tight against the drivers door but no more than a number of modern cars. Getting in and out is ok once you get used to it. Finding I am starting to have more trouble riding my BMW GS1200 and seriously looking at getting a lighter bike (early 60's BSA's seem to be popping up regularly on my internet searches :D

Might be worth you contacting Mark Wilson <gtcse8@gmail.com> who because of loss of his workshop had/has a few cars for sale.
