Thanks all,

Looking at the brown one on Ebay at the minute as this seems certainly something to get my teeth into to say the least.

Although the Mathewsons auction looks appealing I just can't see that going close to the guide price!

Adam - Scoop yes, Mad Max style no :D

Tough decisions to be made I'm afraid, I need something to get me started, Whilst begrudging paying high price for something that is going to be taken apart and rebuilt.

Evening all, opinions required.

For the price - Yes or No?

No. It'll cost too much to get it where you want it IMHO. Ian

Impossible to make the decision for you. I wouldn’t touch it personally.

Thanks Ian & Jim, Appreciate the responses.

I appreciate it will be a challenge to say the least however, Would it not be an investment in the long run, Not including any works carried out and man hours invested in the mean time, Should the time come to move on?

IF.... I do get to a point that it is not in the position where I require it to be, Would the value decrease that significantly?

James

I’d buy something at least running. Paint and interior are the most expensive bits. Abandoned projects are usually the best value.

The best investment (financially) would to get a mint one for “average car” money.

Or just wait until Dave Speed tried to sell one of his - that’s usually a bargain

It's got the wrong engine for a start, That'll cost a fair bit to replace with an Essex V6. Having been there with mine for 15 years I wouldn't do it again.

He does say he was wrong and it is a V6, Terry.

The owner has confirmed it is the Essex V6 in there, Looking at the other cars he has on his property, appears hes is an enthusiast?
