After years of MGBs, Midgets, AH sprites, Stags etc I've only gone and got my 1st Scimitar :D a 1974 SE5a . A bit of a restoration project but aren't they all ? Looking forward to getting stuck into it and the banter that revolves around our mutual hobby... anyone seen my toolbox ?

Ey up. Whereabouts in the Wild East are you? I'm over near Pock with a Scimitar much less shiny than yours.

I had 7 triumphs before starting with Scimitars - I had had enough of rust problems.

Thanks for the warm reception gents. I'm in the village of Gilberdyke 3 miles from the eastern end of the M62. This is a fleebsy purchase (sight unseen  ) looks ok but when you start to look closer you find all those things that just have to be sorted. But hey ho...chassis is good, brakes non existent, body looks great from 10ft away suspension bushes and window seals all shot etc etc so with a terrified credit card and a long parts list off we go....
