Owned my Scimitar SE4 for around 14 years now. I initially bought it as a stop gap while I restored a Marcos, but became attached to it so it's a keeper now (and the Marcos still isn't finished yet  ). For most of that time it was my daily driver, though I've got a crappy old VW for the boring stuff now. The Scimitar is currently up on axle stands with various problems, which I'll be asking about in the technical section very soon. If it ever stops raining I'll take some photos to share.

I'm in the South East, just outside Brighton.

Haven't got all the details the register wants to hand, but I'll contact them soon.

Please please start a thread specifically for your car, with lots of pictures so we can all see the progress as it happens.
I didn't, and wish I had. Can't now find any of the posts I'd made as I did things.
Hope it goes well.

Welcome :D

If you add your location in the user control panel, it’ll prevent the recurring question :D

Apparently you do, 2nd page, GAA 401D

That photo was actually one of the pictures used to advertise it when I bought it. I haven't got any recent photos and it's currently wedged in where I can't get a decent shot. I'll sort some out when I've got less porous brakes.

Aha, that's a nice looking car, well done.
It would be great to see some new pics when you get your brakes sorted.
Also the chassis number, which is currently missing ...

Here's a couple of pictures taken around 7-8 years ago. The only change from the photo on Dark Star's website is the lack of wing mirrors (couldn't see anything out of them anyway and it didn't leave the factory with them).
Visually not much has changed since these photos were taken, save for a set of polished stainless wheels from MWS. The interior has had a bit of a spruce up but I don't have any before or after photos (yet). If you look closely you can see that the seats have headrests, they've been changed for something more period i.e without headrests. Current photos will be along eventually, but my brake problems have expanded to include a leaking water pump and a huge rust patch (I'll be starting a topic about that in the technical section soon), so she'll be laid up a bit longer than I was hoping. :(

Thanks, that's great.
Erm ... what colour is it because it seems to change with the light
I have it listed as bronze but perhaps it is black ?

It does indeed change with the light, it looks brown in dull light, but kind of shines gold when/where the sun hits it. The V5 lists it as green, but it's clearly not, I guess bronze is pretty accurate, though it's not as orange as a true bronze. I believe it's the original colour, but I've no idea what Reliant called it.

Same colour as Wim Deinum's car, which is also listed as green - and in certain circumstances looks like it 8)
Photos of the same car (and paint) although the number changed ... twice.

Couple of interior shots, excuse the quality, my phone is pretty basic by todays standards.

All going well I'm hoping she'll be back on the road before the end of the week.

I believe it's original, it only picks up long and medium wave. I assume anything newer would at least have FM (and probably DAB these days). I say it picks up, but it's not actually wired up to anything and never has been while I've owned the car, so it may not work at all. I've never done anything about it because I very much doubt you'd be able to hear anything above the exhaust, wind and tyre noise, so it's there for decoration only.

Turns out I was overly optimistic about getting it back on the road, I started her up yesterday only to find coolant pouring out the refurbished water pump :( I've had to admit defeat with that and sent it off for a professional to rebuild. Sadly that's unlikely to be quick given the current situation.
