Alec. Try yer pal in a 6, the doors, volume and plushness are bigger. OK some of the sportyness has been vacuumed out but they're still a crackin' GTE.

Good suggestion, but too late. She has become biased against Scimitars; also she ordered me to spend the available funds on an upgraded Discovery.
I am curently trying to insert her into my Olympic; I think it will need anaesthetics and a Vaseline suit.

Hi Alec.

It's a shame you didn't get a GTE as your posts always make me smile. I presume your wife doesn't browse the internet!

I remember cycling past a Rochdale Olympic as a 12 year-old on my way to school and always liked the shape. At least you don't have any chassis rust to contend with.

You're still welcome on the forum, of course. :)

- My wife says I don't listen to her ...... or something like that! -
SE4B Coupe - rebuilt on brand-new chassis.
Bought in 1978 and an RSSOC member since. 😲

Lots of people cycle past Olympics.

I do still like admire and covet a Scimitar, so I think that keeps me eligible.
I'm here for a year anyway, and a lot can happen to a wife in a year. Especially one who is half-in half-out of a Rochdale Olympic doing 114mph.
