Hi all, I've just joined the Club having firmly fixed on the plan of realising a thirty plus year ambition to own a GTE 5 or 6.

I fell in love with the SE6 when I was fifteen and little has changed over the intervening years of owning dozens of different makes and models cars - other than now finding I lean more towards the SE5. I have watched the recent (but long-overdue) rise in value of these marvellous cars with some alarm and decided the time has finally come to act. So, over the coming year, or even two, I am hoping to find and buy the right car. Having spent too many cold hours lying under various old jalopies with welding torch in hand I aim to own something that, while not perfect, I can spend at least as much time driving as fixing. I'm happy to wait for the right car and would really like to buy one from someone in the Club if at all possible. I will spend the intervening time researching my purchase by following this excellent website and reading the buyers guide that is winging its way to me. I'm not ready to buy yet, but please bear me in mind if you think you may have something of interest for me in the coming months.

I popped to the local noggin recently and received a warm welcome, so thanks to all those present for that!

Thanks, Tristan.

Welcome :D

Might be worth adding your location to your profile (it will display under your name) in case someone is thinking of selling and sees your pleas..nothing more disappointing/challenging than spotting a suitable candidate and find its the other end of the country!

Never try and argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you based on experience.
