starter solenoid REPLACEMENT NOW PURCHASED

I am looking for a starter solenoid for 1972 3ltr v6 gte 5a that i have just purchased as non runner or secondhand starter.will purchase new starter when i have seen and tested engine running thanks. based east sussex

The starter solenoid is integral with the starter .you can use an ordinary 40 amp relay for the other one

Not if it's the Bosch sliding show=e starter (possible on a 1972 car)...

Up, which solenoid are we talking about - the pre-engaged on fitted to the starter, or the one on the inner wing? If the latter, just bypass it by joining the relevant wires together.

pre engaged type starter. had a closer look today and will need to replace the starter or recondition it, unless anyone got a spare for sale . my main objective is just to
get the engine started and see how it runs then make a plan on what needs doing thanks.

I have New solenoid kits And the contactor kits, OH and a few Good tested SH starters if you can`t get sorted?.

thanks to all that replied now brought new high torque starter, lets hope the engine burst into life when fitted.
