6A power steering pump

Post by Lee » Thu May 17, 2018 9:10 am

Hi all,
bizarrely after over 40 years of Stirling service, my power steering pump has sprung a leak, so do any of you guys happen to have a pump from an SE6a kicking around in your spares bins?
I know they are different on the Cologne engine, but not sure if there are any differences on the Essex engine for around 1976-
Thanks.
Lee

Mr gtcse8, would you be the man that I am looking for?
Actually that sounds wrong, married man and all that.

Hi Lee
There are big differences to the Cologne mounting and the Essex.

Especially the mountings.
Where is yours leaking from?.

I have an Essex that's not leaking IF you wanted to pop over some time?.

Mark

Hi Mark,
Mine is definitely the Essex. I have removed it. It appears to be leaking from where the cast iron front casing is sealed into the tin "bottle" back casing.
Great. Thanks. If you want to PM me your address and the cost, I'll arrange collecting it from you.
Thanks again.

6A power steering pump

Ok Lee

As this is my Only Essex pump, and it has not got a pulley fitted ( took it on exchange and pulley was missing ) I would prefer an exchange so I can provide you with a complete unit?.

I can rebuild these units but just don`t have the time right now due to circumstances.

If I get yours I can swap over the pulleys in minutes.

Mark

Evening Lee

What suits you best?, currently not working due to full time carer so can swap out your pulley in minutes.

The good pump I have is £25 for cash.

Postcode is BD20 6QR, phone is 07938615268
