I’ve done a few GTE single skin bonnets, on two I bonded some glass tape over D shaped foam in a X. One was some carbon rod from a main sail, again cut in half and bonded in a X.

My skyline car still uses STD hinges and bonnet stay fine (just because I got the hump with detached bonnets flying off roofs around paddocks :w :roll: )

Cheers

Not done much on this for far too long!

But have picked up a Sierra Cosworth T5 gearbox for it - £450! :)

Just a bellhousing required next then. There was an Essex to T5 bellhousing on ebay a few weeks ago that turbster was keeping an eye on. Maybe worth saving an ebay search for one.

I’m on it already - made by MKF Engineering; they’re waiting for the next shipment from their foundry.

So it turned out one was listed on eBay poorly - a £100 bid later and I’ve just won it. Now to await delivery then offer it up...

Ditto;
The Watts linkage across the diff looks a bit "non-standard" to me - is there a reason? And as you say, the ground clearance is somewhat reduced as a result.
