Turbo SS1 restoration

Post by Milo » Mon Aug 31, 2020 11:21 pm

Hello Folks. As promised in my introduction, the beginning of the restoration. (Well not quite, the turbo has been sent away, rebuilt and back in the garage shelf, waiting to go back in the car)

Few pictures of this weekends work. At the moment I’m just making piles for the powder coaters. The body panels are all off and away to the paint shop for repairs and painting.

At no point did I say it was a Ti. Merely stated that the turbo that came fitted with the car had been serviced

And yes, it is a cvh

I think you're about to find out how well (or otherwise) I sealed the tub to the chassis..

Don't tell me that Phil, that's the next job on the list, lift the tub off, once everything is taken off the front that is.

Sealant was applied pretty much to mimic that applied by Reliant and I think it was all after the tub was in place, not just before.

Hello folks, apologies for lack of action but as usual life gets in the way.

Not much to report back but I have picked up the first load from the powder coaters. Unfortunately it’s been so long that I can’t remember where a few of the brackets came from! Amateur mistake.

Took a load of photos before I took it apart so it should only be a few bits. Semi circular bracket for one
