No criticism intended - I'm as "guilty" of going "off piste" as anyone; I was just interested in getting to the bottom of the bodywork issue so hopefully some of the other Sabre Six custodians will get their tape measures out. :)

Our Sabre Six is coming back home from the paint shop tomorrow, so I will apply the tape measure.

Perhaps you can get a paper tape measure from Ikea; wouldn't want to risk putting any metal too close to the new paint !!!

Staying on-topic...
I've just been out to 660XYB and measured the distance from the spare wheel aperture to the rear lights, and both are 8 & 3/4"
Is this where the asymmetry is supposed to be, or am I measuring the wrong thing?
I’ve marked with the arrows are in the photos below. Unfortunately I haven’t got one that covers both measuring points on a single side. Measure the points marked A to B on both sides. On mine there is a difference in the width of the flat section.

A bit more progress. If you look carefully you can see a pensive looking painter in the background! Also the original colour around the door recess.

Photos flatter it. Lots of repairs to do now....I've seen flatter corrugated tin roofs 🤣👍

BTW I measured from the spare wheel aperture to the rear lights and there's no more that 1/4" difference as far as I can tell, but they are curves so not easy to measure to.
