Been gradually going round all the electrics changing bulbs , cleaning earths, fitting the Hazard switch and rewiring to suite the column multiswitch . So far all good , checked the LED panel lights in the dark and as I said very pleased .
This is the LED bulbs I fitted as bought from EBay .

Ordered another master cylinder of a different style . The original Girling master cylinder was so badly corroded it had to go . New 7/8 bore cylinder with large fluid reservoirs are hard to find so I went for this cylinder . Quite frankly it’s been a nightmare the plastic reservoir is meant to fit the cylinder but it leaks . It has a Male fitting same as a bubble flair but the cylinder has a fitting for a double flair . Tried fitting with the back nut and washer as supplied but over a period of time fluid would lead up the thread . Tried PTFE tape , same leak. Tried leaving the back nut off and bottoming out the thread and thread sealer and eventually got it fluid tight . Then found it was weeping from the fitting through to the reservoir . Stripped out and checked O ring and refitted and again over a week drips appeared . That’s it had enough , it’s going .

So if you have a original master cylinder treasure it and if it’s worn or corroded get it resleeved . I going to fit the Wilwood cylinder and hope I have better results . You will need a adaptor as it has a 1/8 NPT female thread . I used a 1/8 Male NPT to Male 3/8 unf . Might have to move the servo down to fit it all in , time will tell .

There has been no updates for a while and a good reason for that . Unfortunately my health has taken a turn for the worse and I have had 2 recent serious health problems that can be considered life changing . This has meant nothing has taken place on the coupe . My specialist , my GP and more importantly my wife has said that’s it no more crawling about on cars , no more stress and let’s just enjoy life while we can . So that’s it no more projects , no more old cars ( unless they are 100% restored ) . I have spent much money on this car and more hours than I would like to say but unfortunately it will be up for sale as a nearly completed project . I will be sad to see it move onto somebody else but they will gain the benefit not me . So very soon I will be listing it on the for sale page . There cannot be many Coupes that you can guarantee that the chassis is 100% rust free and Galvanised . Roy

Hi Roy.

I'm really sorry to hear you've been unwell and hope things improve greatly once you've removed the stress of a car rebuild from your life.

After all your hard work it will be a shame to lose the Coupe but hopefully it will go to someone who will lavish the same level of detail and care on it as you have. It's certainly a brilliant project for someone to complete.

Enjoy life to the full and treat yourselves to some fantastic holidays. I'm sure that when (not if  ) you pop back on here in the future and see us all still struggling with challenges you'll be glad you jumped when you did. :)

Sincere best wishes for the future.

David.

Hi Roy,

Just been catching up with this thread and was sorry to read of your health concerns. It must be really tough to part with something half done!

Hope the Coupé finds a caring new home to carry on your good work.

Best Wishes

Joe

Best of luck with your B GT and SAAB. Hope you manage to have some fun with them...
Really like your 99 Turbo!! I was looking actively for one a few years back, but just couldn’t find a good one. Eventually I just gave up, but it’s still an itch I’ll need to scratch one day...
