I think the nose panel is okay - I cut off the burnt wing. I’ll get photos this weekend.

I also have body tubs if you want to turn the blue one into an SS1 (and obviously lots of panels - all need paint)

any ideas where these or similar can be bought?

the usual suspects don't have anything at the moment. I have bought some unseen that I thought would do but they are too large. I want them for the nose to bumper but they will have lots of other uses so some one must be making them.

thanks

What size are they - M5/M6?

M6 here - these are aircraft spec, so quite expensive. The floating type are much better than the fixed type in most applications but cbs have these fixed type?

I'd be tempted by these - although "only" M5.

EDIT: Their M6 studs are rather reasonable too (then go with nuts/wing nuts like the SS1 nose if actually possible?).

I started to make them, they are holding the door cards on VVV Geraint, M5 as I have stock of plated CS screws
But as I can`t access my machines just yet I can`t go into production.

I used "Clinch" nuts rather than induction welded types.

I still have a few "Nuts if you wanted a handful??, simply drill the correct size hole in your selected piece of steel and Peen the collar over.

AJL used to have the door card ones in stainless Geraint.

As for the larger ones, Demon tweeks, Merlin Motorsport and the like do 'floating captive nuts' in range of sizes
