Cheers, yes it's had ALOT of time effort and money lavished on it but I'm happy with the result, there is alot more to come but the foundations have been laid atleast.

I have just been comparing the dyno plot from last year, albeit peak power hasnt jumped much (182-209) the torque curve is much stronger, we are making 120 ft/lb at 3000rpm last year we were making 60ft/lb at that rpm. How much torque does a DET make at 3k?

So you've basically lost no power at the original peak 4,5k, just added a nice smooth build to 5,7k ish 8) worthwhile exercise and engine is built for future additions too 8)

Sort of the forged engine is still in the process of being built this is running the DET stock rods and pistons

Still plenty of ceiling for upgrades even on stock DET pistons and rods

this is a familiar feeling, but we actually managed to get a running car slightly earlier than last year...so thats good...as an example of how this project has fought us, here is a little story. Darryl bought a set of 1b tyres and they looked great when they were delivered...fast forward a couple of weeks to the day he had them swapped onto the wheels he wanted to use ....3 of them were perfect, the 4th was a 215/45/16...go figure  not a huge problem...providing a 195/50/15 tyre was actually in the uk. problem solved fairly quickly as someone else had 3x 16" tyres and a single 15" :w

i'm making this up as i go along

cheers Steve, 200ft/lb at 3k is impressive, I thought you were aiming for 270ish bhp?
