Not a huge jump in turbo size then - is the wastegate closing fully?

Rule of thumb, when the WG penny is fully shut, the arm from the WG actuator should be half a hole out, ie need pulling 1/2 hole to fit the penny arm to give approx 3mm pre load. That will give original WG rated boost level. If you add more preload (if the actuator has a threaded arm) that will lift the boost threshold of ciurse

So I have conceded defeat and refitted the stock oil cooler setup, the remote oil filter and gubbins just kept leaking and I'd had enough, I managed to do it without lifting the engine but I don't want to do that again. At this point I did consider sticking more running in oil in but it's due on the rolling road this Saturday and the rings already seem well seated so I dropped and replaced it with Mobil 1 Motorsport oil. We haven't been happy with the brake pedal feel so whilst the car was on the axle stands a new even bigger master cylinder went on from an LDV van and some new polymatrix E pads went in as the existing ones were full on race pads and not very good from cold, the pads are bloody expensive but should hopefully be worth the effort. So we are all set for the rolling road Saturday morning, place your bets now! Stock injectors and ECU, T25/28 turbo auto sprint cam ported and polished head.

Adj fuel pressure regulator too? I'll go for 187hp

Yup adjustable fuel regulator, last year we made 182 and the regulator was barely moved from base pressure

209 BHP and 209 FT/LBS , it turns out that it was already running as much boost as the fueling could handle at 10psi because we tried 11 and it went lean. I saw 17 psi last week so im lucky I didnt break anything, it will be going back to Revlimit in September to have the standalone ECU, 444cc injectors and the forward facing CA20E inlet manifold fitted, the aim is 250bhp until the forged engine is ready then we have the option of pushing our luck with the gearbox :w

thats a fairly smooth boost curve, should be decent for sprinting in such a lightweight car
