Post by Dcrosby13 » Wed Aug 15, 2018 9:20 pm

time is almost out, pretty much everything has been done now, all that remains is to put all the stickers on it. we have a second throttle spring we have yellow tape on the earth side of the battery, unfortunately I couldnt fit in the SS1 with my helmet on so I have had to use one of those fibreglass bucket seats we had going spare to reduce the height then upholster it ourselves  I am excited but nervous and I am panicking a little, please can someone confirm what documents I need to have present on Sunday for the sprint? also can anyone think of anything that I might have overlooked?

Tax insurance and MOT docs (DVLA printout)
Speed licence
Club card
A championship card (sssc or cm)
Msa/FIA compliant gloves, race suit and skid lid
If you helmets not been scrutineered before you will break the scrute to add an MSA sticker whichll cost you 3 or 4 quid.

There's a little etiquette 're scrutineering.

Have helmet, suit and gloves ready, ensure you open the boot and bonnet, basically they shouldn't have to go looking for stuff.

Championship card isn’t vital, but RSSOC membership card is, along with msa license, and car paperwork is.

Good luck on the RR tommorow - it’s about time somthing went smoothly for you!

I would also advise you take it steady on the test days Friday and Saturday.

Take it easy on the first few runs and try and get someone who knows Curbs in the car with you.

Sit in the passenger seat with a regular compie in their car. You'll learn a lot.

Give the car a rest and watch others doing hot laps comparing lines etc

And don't break it!

At least driving it down and doing the test days mean he can bed the tyres, brakes and clutch in before they get murdered on sunday....who am i kidding, he already found the deepest pot hole in the north west to test the integrity of the scoop...wouldnt mind but it's almost outside his house...about 30 ft away

I hear you all loud and clear, I will be well behaved! so in the folder that I am taking to Curborough I have the following:

- Print out of the GOV.UK site showing the tax and MOT status
- Print out of my insurance certificate
- My MSA non race national B card
- Camping and entry tickets etc
- Scimitar owners club membership card
- a copy of my MOT certificate
- a copy of the documents emailed to me by HDLCC

Thanks, Craig I will definitely take you up on that offer if anyone is around on Friday and would be willing to let me ride shotgun I would really appreciate it. I know the answer is probably no but are any of you doing the autotest? my wife doesnt want to get in the car for it so I need someone to jump in the passenger's seat and point at cones.
