It’s bound to be about 10-20bhp short of what he’ll “accept”

I can just see Daryl looking a little despondent and Steve saying “just try it first..”

Remond me of the turbo and injectors DC?
Engine could mke 325hp, subject to enough fire and wind

The turbo is a T25/ 28 hybrid, the injectors and inlet manifold are top secret at the moment :D let's just say the injectors are top shelf Motorsport jobies bigger than the 444cc,s I'm selling at the moment.

Eventually we are going to look at buying a proper modern turbo but that will likely be 2021

I have had to strip the forged engine back down and take the block back to the machine shop, somehow I have managed to scuff the deck of the block badly enough that we would have had sealing issues with the MLS gasket so its off to be skimmed then fully built up asap and chucked in the car ready for running in. I have had to take the fuel tank back to Compbrake because they forgot to put a fuel sender in it but were really good and did it whilst I waited so thats another job rounded off, I have run the new larger fuel lines down the transmission tunnel and dads finished making a new improved crank sensor bracket and is almost finished with the new exhaust. The tidying of the standard wiring is nearing completion and I have made a start on the new ECU harness so hopefully we are on track for the rolling road and testing in March provided we dont have any further setbacks, the only engine component we are waiting on is a long ARP stud not found in the DET kit, this is only really a thing for us because its essentially a DET block with an ET head.

Dad works weekends and I work week days so he does two full days a week and I am living in there of an evening and a large chunk of my weekends at the moment  that being said its actually quite nice in there now we have a decent heater and space to move around.

Lots of things happened today, Omex responded to say we have to go full sequential injection with the injectors we have so dad's modified an old distributor to suit, he made a spigot bearing from scratch over the weekend and brought it over, it looks very nice. I went and collected the freshly skimmed block from the machine shop, test fitted the standard gear lever mechanism which fits perfectly without any modifications and bolted the full cage in hopefully for the last time.

Clever stuff guys, as ever the progress is

I’ve killed the clutch so need to drop the box again. Not overly difficult but finding motivation at the mo is a challenge. I’m commuting horribly long days so after tea just want to sit with my rabbit and watch a racing movie, like Baby Driver or Cars
