G130 YCF sprint car

Post by Dcrosby13 » Fri Jan 10, 2020 7:36 pm

Well all I can say is Crosby senior deserves a round of applause for this one, hes done all of the research and fabrication with the exception of the welding all whilst not even having an SS1 to measure anything against as the car was parked outside of revlimit at the time and it fit first time! the mans a genius, zero mods required. the tangs on the back of the box are touching ever so slightly but we dont need them anyway so I might just cut them off. In other news I collected the ECU from EFI parts today and we have every sensor connector and wire needed to box off the new engine management system, lots of top secret funky (read expensive) stuff in the pipeline also.

I think that clutch slave looks like it might get damaged via the torque reaction of the engine and associated movements through the drive train.
Glad the box fits it's nice to use

I did express concern over that when I had a peek at it a couple of weeks ago - but I’m sure there’s a banjo fitting that could overcome it.

Well done Steve - pukka job 8)

It's going on the vibratechnics mount which is almost solid mounted, and the engine mounts are rock solid so I doubt its going to be an issue.

Sorry man I've just re read my reply and it wasn't meant to come across that way, I definitely didn't see it as a criticism. It's a valid point, unfortunately pictures don't always seem to give a perspective or scale.

For extra clearance do what Reliant did to the tunnel on early Ti's to clear the gearbox, couple of thumps with a lump 'ammer
