For parts I've used Conceptua, there's no website, but they have an ebay shop & you can phone them.

Also JDM garage UK:

Just measured the bores of the metric DET in inches :D

The limit in the bore at grade 5 apparently is 3.2697inches I measured around 3.295inches.

That means a re bore and the forged bits are going in 8)

8)

I’ve noticed this thoroughly modern Japanese kit still likes the inches thing - the mounting bolts of my gear change remote were on 101.6mm centres.

So many choices, so little time

If it’s within spec, it’s within spec, doesn’t matter if you measure it in mm, inches or picofurlongs.

Good stuff Ben. I’ve been doing the same myself today, but without writing it all down

I had a go with the valve tool, and it worked a treat. Still a PITA to get the collets back in, but it worked.

Steve
Do you have a good method of removing and fitting new valve seals?

Cheers

Long nose pliers to pull them off the valve guides. Then gently drop the new ones on (using the pliers) and push them home with your fingers or thumb.
