Corky's Scimitars & S2K

It seems that every year or so I start a new project thread for whatever Scimitar I happen to be fettling at the time. I've decided to sort of follow Roger and Reviver's lead and start an all encompassing thread..... well sort of

Here are my threads so far :-

The 3.5lt GTC http://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/view ... 579#p17830

Basket case Sabre 6 http://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/view ... =20&t=5547

Impulse buy GTC http://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/view ... =20&t=9608

GTC no.404 (a masterpiece) http://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/view ... =20&t=5721

Sabre Ti (My first pointy one) http://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/view ... 20&t=10566

SS1 CA18DET sprint car (2nd pointy one) http://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/view ... 20&t=16028

And finally, this is a link to my very old website from 2005, detailing the bits and pieces I did to my very first Scimitar, an SE5A Auto http://www.scimitarcars.org.uk/Scimitar_SE5A.htm. I've started to update the Site here http://www.scimitarcars.org.uk/scimitar ... lcome.html

So this thread is no.7, and I'll try not to start any more, just add them to this one.

Since selling my original 5A to move onto GTCs and various other projects I've gone full circle and bought another. I always wanted a manual 5A so I went looking for something that wasn't concours but was in nice show-able condition. I found the very car on eBay, immediately recognised it as a forum member's car and contacted him directly. We struck a deal and a few days later a transporter was dispatched to Hertfordshire to bring it to Macclesfield.

So here it is :-

Very nice. That looks well sorted. Jump-in-and-drive.

[Edit : it just goes to show how nice a set of properly refurbished Dunlops look]

I'm not a big fan of the SE5 series but that looks lovely. Something just right about it.

Hi Duncan
No hard times !
Sad to see here go, but looking forward to see how Steve improves on her.
Time to move on - you only live once, not sure what will replace the GTE tho'.
:)
Cheers Guys for all your help and expertise during my ownership.
Mark

Well sorry you let her go Mark, I was sure she was a long term keeper for you. Still now you've got a few bob burning a hole in your pocket, I'm sure you'll be tempted by something soon! Are you going to stay with Scimitars, or go see if the grass is greener elsewhere?
