I have a fiver that says he pulls it out, and fits a milk float motor or a steam engine

There is room to fit two Essex engines, is there anything in the rules against that?

Yep, gravity, 2 x essex will bend the space time continuum

Big push to get this back together for... absolutely no reason unfortunately

At least I can have a drive on the road and get it sorted in good time for next season.

Rather than just build up the new axle, I decided to add the Quaife ATB diff, 3.77 CWP, full set of bearings/seals, disc conversion and a new watts linkage drop plate complete with new rose jointed arms

Unfortunately losing the extended bottom shock mounting point and reducing the angle of the shocks has resulted in a less than ideal ride height 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’m hoping flipping the top mounts and getting some shorter springs will sort it rather than having to get a pair of shorter shocks too..

Just looking at the photos so I may be misinterpreting the layout.
Have you changed the top shock mountings to get more travel, or just to have a more direct action ?
One thing puzzles me, why have you mounted the watts linkage so low, and with asymmetric arms ?
Have you rearranged the radius arm mountings to prevent axle tramp ?

It looks beautiful but I just wondered ...

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the watts linkage arms should be horizontal when the suspension is in the "neutral" position?
Isn't there a restricted range of up-and-down movement that will be kept correctly aligned?
If so it perhaps the plate needs reversing so the pivot point is central to the diff rear cover.

The Watts will be correct when the ride height is sorted.

Cracking work Mr.T

What James said... When I correct the ride height (by about 4”) all will be aligned, just posted the pics to show how ridiculously it was 💁🏻‍♂️

What about raising the top shock mount? You can do a long brace across the chassis at the same time.
