New wheel assembled with the boss that Tony Idle made for me...

A few other odd jobs done, insulation under the dash almost complete, aux fuse box installed with output wiring and the ventilation tee refitted.
I hurt my back again from being upside down in the footwells!

One other job ticked off was to replace the driver's side wiper wheelbox again. I had been supplied with two passenger ones with different part numbers. It could have been worse though, the driver's side is by far the easiest because you can get to it and see it with the dash out. I took the time to gasket and seal it too.

Last weekend I spent some time sorting wiring and boot area illumination. Then my attention turned to the carpets and I managed to get the bulkhead area fitted properly.

Had a few hours to play with the project today, I fitted the centre tunnel carpets, glued them down, fitted a spacer under the gear shift, then after I fitted the centre console etc realised that I didn't actually need it and so took it all back out again! Then I found that for some reason there were no Lokuts or fixing holes for the front console bracket, so had to fit those. Afterwards I did a bit of a mockup of the panels...

It isn't the bulb so much as the bowl and lens. I have found Cibies to be fine, Wipac Quadoptic not bad. Looking at the pattern on the wall, it looks fine.
Any further update on the LED bulbs? Have you tried them on the road yet?

Not too much to report, with customer vehicles I have not had much time for my own jobs.

I obtained and fitted some two position switches for the seat heaters and fitted them to the centre console, together with a suitable wiring loom.

Improved the wiring to the power socket and made provision for another at the back of the console.

Made the handbrake gaiter and cut a piece of carpet to fit around the gearshift housing.

Upholstered the sides of the dashboard because it looked silly against the cream. That took some time, so all I have done since is to fully install the dash top.

A whole year has gone by? Wow!

Nothing much to report. The car is sitting in storage at the moment while I try to get a space between customer's repairs. Not really that much left to do apart from the interior and hood, so I am hoping to show it at Curborough this next year.

That was a favour somebody owed me. I can do that sort of work but only in the summer as my booth is inflateable and only heated by fan heaters! I still have availability of a proper one via subcontract to him.

Details and some of my work in the later pages of this thread... http://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/view ... th#p429658

Errrm, it is the same car GOX 913W! The painter recently gave me his photos of the job he did a few years ago, so I uploaded them to the project thread.

Colour is a Ford cherry red which is also known as Nightfire as used on some of the later three wheelers (and BL vehicles).
