Did you manage to check the offset?

Cheers
My Wellers and I suspect Corky's too are ET15 8x13 unless he has purchased some new ones :?:
On weller website they only quote 3,-10&32 for offset....

Don’t buy from Weller, check George polley motorsport.

Studying the photo in more detail I think you get Weller 03/15 4x100 and I think 9023/2. Could the 03 be what Weller are quoting? I’ll ring round tomorrow to check.

Corky's Scimitars (Idle Control Valve issue)

Lots going on at the moment.

I pushed the sill back into place (1.5cm) following the "slight orf" at Loton. I used Craig's hydraulic ram to do the pushing (brilliant piece of kit), and then I opened up the sill like a tin can and pushed the face out with a crow bar before welding the hole back up. Looks like it worked, but the sill surface is like the Himalayas not my usual standard of finish, but it'll do for MOT and racing purposes.
I'm also waiting for some metal to arrive so I can weld in the feet for the front of the roll cage.

I've also picked up a CA20E inlet manifold, which I'm in the process of fitting to the engine I've been rebuilding (for 2 years  ) . The only snag that I'm having difficulty with is the Idle Control Valve. I don't have a CA20E one (if it actually exists at all), and the CA18ET one does not fit. I understand that it's not required if I go down the aftermarket ECU route, but I don't plan to do that just yet.
So, will it work with this manifold if I make some sort of sandwich plate adaptor (which I think I can do with 10mm ally plate)? Or will it only work with the smaller CA18ET manifold?

That would be great, cheers Darryl.

I thought maybe the one you'd given me hadn't been fully tried out

it came as a complete unit, unfortunately I did my usual trick of pulling it apart immediately, I will be around somewhere I just need to dig it out.

Also you might want to look at upgrading to a DET throttle body and swap the ET TPS onto it as the DET is a potentiometer opposed to the ET's on off switch.

If I go to an aftermarket ECU then I'll do that.

As it stands, I just want to get this engine built up and running on the stock ECU and hopefully find a couple of horses and a few torques.

Any bits you pulled off the manifold will be much appreciated

From memory I had mine fitted but it wasn’t plugged into anything and may have the vacuum hoses blanked? I’ll try to check it when I lay my hands on it.

If the originl cant be obtained, a thick alloy plate made up to adapt the stock one to CA20 manifold could be used, or one off another car. Stew B fitted a ford one to the Sabre when he had it, was remotely fitted with hose rather than bolted to fannymold

Thanks fellas, DC has now found the aac valve so this shouldn't be a problem now. He was also good enough to include a coolant connector tree that Steve had fabricated, as the original is in the way of the manifold. I just need to sort out an oil cooler take off and I'll be almost there with the mock up.

Just in the process of fabricating the roll cage foot plates which I'll weld onto the sills tomorrow (photos later).

And in wheel news, these arrived yesterday.

13" 7J ET25 and just 4.5kg per wheel.

Making progress with the cage support brackets. My welding isn't very neat, but passes the hammer and jump test with flying colours.
