Just shows how much I know about Ford straight 6s ! Ford V8s used bushes all the way though the 60s so I assumed (incorrectly) that the 6s would too
As has been said though the 6203Z is a standard bearing & can be obtained very easily

The Coupe Straight-Six workshop manual I have doesn't specify the details of the spigot bearing, apart from these details which suggest the diameter of the alignment tool end (to locate in the bearing) is 0.583 - 0.588 inches:

In my collection, the ford gearbox has a roller bearing and the ZF box has a bronze bush. Try this company for a new bearing budget bearings or quality bearings you choose,

Hi John, thanks for the link - anything from under £3 to over £30 - too much choice!!
Changing the subject slightly:
I've searched the Forum for clutch relining but nothing shows up. Relining should be about half the cost of a replacement MkII Jag driven plate, does anyone have experience/recommendation to pass on?
I've mic'd the plate and it is 0.262" and I'm guessing a new plate should be around 0.4" perhaps?

Next step will be the thrust bearing, which might be a Ford part, or might not!!! To be investigated; I'll post a picture tomorrow.

Thanks for the feedback;
Rimmer Bros website tells me Land Rover clutches are 9.5 inch dia; mine's 8.5", I think some bigger-engined and the later Jags use the 9.5" clutch
The driven plate is marked 51580, and there is an Italian Company on ebay selling one cheap, I can have it for £20.33 or for £33.44, but don't think I'll bother. I'll ring the contact above.

Clutch plate shipped off to Precision Clutch this morning; expected cost, £72 including postage and vat.
Next question:
Is this a "standard" non-diaphragm clutch thrust bearing?
It feels "sluggish" but rumble-free, so perhaps a clean and re-grease?
Or, replace, with what, and does it pull off the backplate?

The bearing is iirc just a push fit onto the carrier. I've never really had any problem in getting the bearing off - a bit of careful levering has done it in the past. But I have heard they can be a pain to shift sometimes.

But I don't think your release arm, carrier & release bearing are the standard Ford S6 items? The Ford S6 bearing has a flat thrust face as shown below whereas yours is domed, more like the Essex V6 release bearings I think? It'll probably be a case of detective work to see what your components are sourced from.

I'd have expected the Moss Box to use the Jaguar part, but the release arm is Ford, the carrier has two cut-outs, unlike Josh's;
Here's a picture, the bearing needs to fit onto the carrier, so this will probably define what the bearing is.
Hopefully a Scimmy expert will see this and enlighten us.

Won't the bearing be marked with a number, which will identify it (maybe hidden under the carrier at the moment)?

It's an RHP bearing, marked 2 W 4 I and so far I haven't been able to find a match (well, google hasn't).

The carrier looks like an Essex one to me, so there's a chance the bearing is early Essex too?

Thanks for the feedback Josh.
However, my bearing seems to have the curved front profile normally associated with a diaphragm clutch, whereas the clutch is a spring-type. The three clutch fingers/levers have a shiny patch on them, suggesting wear so I think I need the flat-front type of bearing that you had from Chris. I assume all Essex engines have diaphragm clutches. Has anyone measured the ID of the bearing, or the OD of the sleeve, S6 versus V6?
123 Bearings can supply a thrust bearing with an ID of 41.5 mm which I think will suit.
