Hello,

On my SE5a I've got a Lucas LRS 130 and I'll want to clean it and change the brush.

QRG doesn't have the brush and I didn't find them on the web.

Can you tell me if any of you know a seller who can sell a brush kit for my starter?

The main components are common to a number of units - known as the "M100" range (they change the housing and pinion to suit the individual application).

2 minutes googling found these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LUCAS-M100-I ... 2004599707 - if you want to look in France, then RTC4792 is the Landrover part number.

Thank you very much Phil.
I was doing a research on Lucas LRS 130. I did not know for "M100" range

Hello,

This morning I tried to remove my starter motor
I was able to unscrew the to bolts
I was able to remove the starter from the engine
I could not remove the starter from behind the exhaust tubes
Will one of you have the procedure to do this?

It it tight but it will come, you may need to "three point turn" it. Have still got the splash shield in place? If so, remove it.

Hello,

I cannot dismantle the splash shield: the square bolt turns underneath and I cannot block it.
Any of you have an idea? Is it possible to dismantle the solenoid to remove the shield?

I have indeed removed the oil filter but the starter does not pass between the exhaust and the engine

can you not twist the starter so that it points up/down? drops out of the bottom then.

Hi
This morning I managed to remove the splash shield, I managed to dismantle the solenoid, the oil filter is removed ...
But I still can't remove the starter.
Trying to disassemble the exhaust one of the bolts to break so I hesitate to continue to remove the exhaust manifold and break another bolt
