I've got an entry with my SS1 (4th time of trying, although my Abarth 124 Spider has been accepted for the last two) and I believe there is a GTC entered. Can't see your Coupe on the entry list, or are you just attending?

Not this year, but it sounds like a fun event, and a good excuse to cross the Channel next year - Brexit notwithstanding! I'll put it on the 2020 calendar.

I'm entered with a Fireblade engined Caterham but (sorry Graham914 if you're reading this ...) there's probably a 90% chance a friends non-scimmy entry won't be ready in time so our coupe will be a stand in. As it did last year 2 days after we bought it! We're numbers 183 and 196.

Fingers crossed you get in with the Coupe. It would be great if 3 Scimitars are present.

Jeff, well done on getting an entry - that's more good exposure for the marque! :D I won't be able to make it, but I hope you all have a great day. Coincidentally, the subject of this event came up yesterday, while chatting to a friend of mine while leaning on the fence at Goodwood - he is due to be taking photos there again this year. Here is a link to his photos from last year

Well the weather was great, which ensured a good turnout of spectators, with around 200 participants taking to the hill over three runs. There is always a very eclectic mix of cars, with everything from Ferraris and Bentleys to Fords and Minis, with just about everything you think of in between, spanning over 100 years of motoring. The hill is not particularly challenging and the 60mph speed limit must be adhered to, but it's still good fun. I didn't take many pics but below are a few which give a flavour of the event. Only two Scimitars took part, my SS1 and Philip Williams GTC. There was, however, another Reliant taking part in the shape of a three-wheeler, a Regal Supervan which was brought over from Belgium by it's current owner. Brooklands Museum brought along the Napier Railton. The Aston Martin DB2 DHC, which was originally owned by Prince Bertil of Sweden, looked particularly stunning.

Here is Philip Williams GTC just coming over the brow of the hill. Great views.

The trail of cement was laid down after a, best not mention which car, spilt transmission oil along 3/4 of a mile of the course. Took us nearly an hour to mop it up !
