Webcam coverage Curbs 2020?

Post by CNHSS1 » Mon Aug 10, 2020 1:17 pm

Club had never run Trackdays, but does run Test Days.
Trackdays are a commercial entity usually run on motor racing 'circuits' as opposed to a sprint track. Curborough is a sprint track, and is avaialble for private hire for testing etc, but it isnt suitable for a trackday as you cant run more than one car on the track at any time. The curborough sprint track has a start and finish, but not designed to do lap after lap

The club provate test days are for competitors and want to be compies, to test their cars, make adjustments etc

Hope that helps :D

Yes, thanks. I attended Curbs a while back, only a practice session - decided I wasn't good enough to compete seriously, and those corners are a bit fierce. Perhaps I would get pad knock-back if I went faster (a reference to another thread!) :)

Interesting reading. I'll look into joining up and getting to a meet next year somehow for some SS1 rag doll antics.

Hi CNHSS1
Now I've been invited to participate in a Track Day by one of the other Clubs I'm a member of.
Unfortunately it is at the 3 Sisters, and they also are organising one at Oulton Park.
Being Berkshire-based these are too far, I think.

3 Sisters is a fun circuit, relatively compact, we used to do it twice a year in Scim Championship in early 2000s, youd enjoy it.

Oultons much higher average speed, more run off but then grass isnt known for its retardation qualities, so greater potential damage should you have an off. Some Track days have free Driver Coaches on hand, worthwhile if they do to get a few pointers.
