I received from my daughter and family a nice hard back book ‘HOW TO BUILD A CAR’ by Adrian Newey.
I’m about a quarter way through it; a brilliant book.
One bit, during his time in Indy 500 with Newman/Haas Racing, reads: “We were having dinner with Paul Newman that night and there was a great picture (since lost) of Paul bouncing Charlotte (Adrian’s young daughter) on his knee.”

I love car-related presents. Mine was carte blanche from my wife to concentrate on finishing the Coupe rebuild. :D

I took two of those off my engine recently. Mark Wilson is currently turning them into proper heads.

Putting the house back to normal after Christmas. Last year and the year before Christmas presents from my son Roger appeared, from behind the moved furniture . Both car related, the dog we call Piston was made from a Morris Minor crankshaft GT40 pistons and rods, moggie piston for his nose and timing chain for tail, clock self explanatory. He also made a tractor for a farmer friends 40th BD see below photos and link to his web site, he started his own business last year doing much more complicated things than car related art. https://www.triplevengineering.co.uk/
