Another Scimitar bites the dust.

I heard this morning that an "old Scimitar" was totally destroyed by fire yesterday. This is all the info I can find (From Stroud News):

A car has been completely destroyed by a fire at a popular tourist site.

Fire crews from Stroud are at the scene of a car fire at Coaley Peak Picnic Site, near Nympsfield.

The fire is now under control but the car has been badly damaged.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: "One crew from Stroud is on the scene of a care fire at Coaley Peak Picnic Site.

"Two hose reels, two breathing apparatus and a fire extinguisher have been used.

"Unfortunately the car has suffered 100 percent damage sustained from the fire.

"The fire is now under control and we expect the crew to leave the scene shortly."

There is no point trying to teach a pig to sing. It doesn't work and it annoys the pig.

Confirmed as a Scimitar, but details although known are to be withheld for the time being due to the insurance claim etc. Such a sad end to what was a nice vehicle, having spent a couple of Grand on improvements this year.

to be honest most car fires end up as '100% damaged' due to increased use of plastic within /on car . . . .
