What's in a name?

Post by DARK STAR » Wed Dec 31, 2014 6:42 pm

You may have heard that some members of the british royal family have been and still are involved with Scimitars
Well Scimitar France is not to be beaten, and since the french habit is to put family names before forenames I can list the members thus ...
LEROY Christophe (the king)
BARON Philippe

In fact we have a lot of Christophe's (no I am not enough of an anorak to count them), several Fred's and quite a few Philippe's, THREE of whom own GTC's out of the six cars in France.

In family names we have a Rambert and a Lambert - and a member who LIVES in Lambert (Maine-et-Loire).
Fred Rambert incidentally lives in Avon which sounds familiar to english ears - but is in Seine-et-Marne.

We have two Mason's (related) and two Martin's (not related), we have Matthew Robson and Rob Mathews.

And we already have FOUR GTC's booked for next year's SouthoFrance Scimitar Sortie.
Happy New Year to all.

Hello Chris,
Interesting statistics and name analysis
Matthew Robson & Rob Mathews ... amazing coincidence
Btw if I ever get back to Lyon someday, I will try to settle in St Rambert l'ile Barbe

Cheers, Fred

Another psychedelic Scimitar pic for your collection
