I grew up with the wide choice of 3 tv networks in Dutch. Because we live close to Germany, we could get 4 more German networks. So learning German made my world bigger. (and of course, German class was obligatory in school)

We lived in a German house and the landlord and his wife did not speak English - when the daughter moved out I had to learn more. My wife ( Glynis ) did German at school so she had a head start and then of course when she started work at the publishing Co her German improved every day as you would expect.

I tried twice to learn to speak the language of Holland. As a result, I am now fluent in Double Dutch.

Fancy a holiday in Gael, France?

There is no point trying to teach a pig to sing. It doesn't work and it annoys the pig.
